OUR MISSION

The Disabled Duo Collective exits to nurture connection and evolve opportunities in the shadowed realities of disability and sexuality. Co-founders Kate and Aaron Wolovsky are a disabled, married couple who share love, intimacy, and sexual pleasure while also caring for each others disability needs. This Duo discovered that medical and mental health professionals generally lack the knowledge, training, and experience, to serve disabled people, all of whom are sexual beings. The result is that disabled people and their providers rarely address sexual health and wellness.

OUR VISION

The Disabled Duo Collective shares a vision of oneness and unity for all the lived realities that encompass the human experience, which naturally includes disability and sexuality.

OUR PEOPLE

Each member of the Disabled Duo Team—and Collective of extraordinary, talented colleagues who share our vision—brings a unique background and skill set to our projects, services, and basic operations. Each person is like the raw materials used to build a house: each serves to meet a need, yet all parts must be connected in order to build a home.

Our people are chosen family. We live and work according to our vision of creating oneness through connecting: we support each other, brainstorm together, and collaborate on projects that are larger than anything we could do individually.

Kate provides counseling and sex therapy services, and is our team lead when designing and implementing training and advocacy projects. With that said, even when you encounter Kate working on her own, there is always at least one member of the Disabled Duo Collective, our team and our family of creatives, who made it possible for Kate to be there.
